This painting was created for the Bad Apple Artist Collective's online auction with the theme "Traveling Circus".
I remember how exciting it was when the circus came to our little town in Austria when I was a child. It was a small family circus and they traveled around all the towns giving evening shows for a few days before packing up and moving on again. After an hour of candyfloss, popcorn & great entertainment I was high on some kind of circus-feeling for the next few days and spend all day trying to mimic the stunts of the circus daughters in their glittery spandex outfits. Cartwheels, hula hoops on neck, waist, arms & legs and rotating big pillows and small coffee tables with my feet while lying on my back was my one-girl show.
